We love a G&T. So we were pretty chuffed when Drink Better Ltd chose us to name, design and launch their delicious new premium Scottish tonic water. We called it Cushiedoos and worked with our talented designer mates at StudioLR to get the look and feel just right. With a smart trade strategy and mouth-watering photography by Paul Hampton, Cushiedoos Superior Tonic is already ruffling a few feathers in the mixer category.
Most staff training sucks. It’s about as motivational as those 'motivational' posters people put up round the office. Rocket’s different. It’s a real-time business simulation game designed to get pulses racing and sphincters twitching. Games Without Frontiers asked us to help them sell Rocket to HR people all over the UK so we created this DM campaign that takes the piss out of boring work awaydays and team bonding sessions. Our six cheeky cards, with cartoons by Nigel Sutherland, are getting a response rate of 30%. So if you want to stick a rocket up your business, give us a call.
This is the ‘Midlothian Madonna’, the centrepiece of YMCA Scotland’s Christmas fundraising campaign. We designed the mailer as a Christmas card with a difference and produced posters to go up in Scottish churches. We commissioned award-winning Scottish photographer David Boni to take the shot which quickly went viral on social media.
Zero Waste Scotland commissioned us to produce a downloadable online toolkit with messages local authorities and community organisations could use to discourage flytipping in their neighbourhoods. Each piece was designed to work in its own specific context, on pavements, in parks and even on the side of construction workers’ Portaloos. Our social media posts used innovative techniques like 360 degree photography to make the messages harder-hitting.
A RUBBISH EXHIBITION
We’ve all been to a rubbish exhibition. ‘Crapitalism’ really was ‘rubbish’. We designed posters attacking big brands for doing too little about litter, using smartphone photography of real litter lying where we found it. We also showed exhibits made from litter, designed to prick the consciences of the brand-owners and make them re-consider their company policies regarding litter and recycling.
THE MAGIC OF LEITH
Leithers Don't Litter teamed up with Scotland's best magician, Elliot Bibby to clean up the streets of Leith. Elliot is the only person in Leith who can make rubbish disappear by magic. (The rest of us better use the bins.) The film we made went viral, reaching over 11,000 people on Facebook alone.
When local gym The Club decided to offer self-defence classes to its members, we produced this series of ads for them, featuring some less-than-cuddly creatures that know how to take care of themselves.
SCOTTISH FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS' ASSOCIATION
The SFSA is the independent voice of Scottish football supporters. They commissioned a full academic survey to find out directly from the fans how they felt the game was run in Scotland and they asked us to promote it. We made a cheeky little film for them, with the message ‘Have Your Say Or Get SFA’. The results were spectacular. As soon as the film went online, it spread like wildfire. Over 16,500 Scottish football fans completed the survey and the findings are being debated in the Scottish Parliament.

ZERO WASTE SCOTLAND LITTER TOOLKIT
Litter costs the Scottish economy £52million a year. We produced this online toolkit for Zero Waste Scotland to help make a dent in that depressing statistic.

The commonplace insults hurled at people who have problems with their mental health is something that perpetuates the stigma around mental ill-health. In this short film, made for mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, we ask everyone to “Mind Your Language”.
